I set out to capture the feeling of a dream, floating down a winding river, perhaps just before the sun rises. Rivers, in my mind, represent the twists and turns our dreams play at night, swiftly taking you to new places - good or bad. The sun will eventually rise, casting off the shadows of the night and bringing your dreams to an end. I wanted a painting that just made me feel good to look at but that reminded me how wondrous dreams can be.
