When you live near the water it's only natural that water subjects creep into your inventory. Living on an island, I am literally surrounded by water. I love the sunrises and the sunsets. I can see them both from the island and they are really spectacular here.
This painting is inspired by the sunrises on the island.
 
We have so many inlets that that I could probably never leave this island and have water subjects to paint until I die. They are quickly becoming one of my fondest subjects to paint, so look for more of them, particularly en plein air!
