...allow for the hour drive anymore.
Oh, how I know! For instance, when we drive to Batesville (3-hour drive) to teach classes at the library almost our entire class fees go toward travel expenses. If we didn't like our Batesville friends as much as we do we wouldn't even go until prices come down.
Alas, we love them so we are sticking it through the inflation. We would miss them.
So, we hear ya and definitely understand if inflationary woes are keeping you closer to home. Our group art lessons and in-person art lesson have suffered attrition for the same reason - our folks just cannot afford the fuel.
But help is on the way! Today I ordered enough gear for us to do better-quality online course instruction with multiple camera views. Give us a bit of time to make sure we have our setup working smoothly and we'll return to the days of having online classes. We don't yet know what they are going to look like yet, but it is certain to be an improvement over what we have offered in the past. In the meantime, standby for something we know you will love - full-production videos once again! We are currently recording an entire Bob Ross primer course to make your classroom experience even better, AND we have several that are free. We just released a previously pay-only video because we recognize that people are staying home to paint (or not painting at all).
Here's the new release painting video:
So keep opening up those emails for the announcement that our online TV channel is up and running, where we will host the entire Bill Alexander and Bob Ross television shows, our own helpful painting videos, our complete video classes (subscription service) and the above-mentioned Bob Ross course will be hosted. Oh, and Karen and I are going to be starting a podcast that is also hosted there. Enjoy those while we get our live-streaming class service up and running. The gear is backordered, so it isn't happening tomorrow. So, yes, we're coming back to livestreaming. The market is probably ripe for that again.
Funny thing about surveys, I am thinking this poster is one of two people. Ha ha. I wonder if you will tell me next time you see me! It's a great suggestion and one I am thankful to say that I have in the works and we are almost 90 percent complete with the project. Look for the TV channel to go live hopefully this week (no promises but we think we can get there!) Want a little more painting from home? Try these videos from us for free:
I sure hope those get you started. Of course we have all the supplies you need to paint at home, so when we complete these video classes and when you start painting the online classes with us again, please buy your supplies from us in order to help us keep everything free. It kills our business when folks run to Amazon, Hobby Lobby, other online big box retailers. It literally puts small business out of business and then you are left with no one to teach you to paint, so shop small business. We have everything you need (or can get it for you), we always offer 20 percent off on nearly everything we sell, and we give you unmatched advise and expertise. You won't get that level of service from Amazon. In fact you will get none.
Hey, one final note! If you can make it to Corydon in February I have a class on the schedule there. "Springtime Melody" is a super-duper fun acrylic painting, let by yours truly!
Anyway, thanks for sticking with me on a long response. You asked for it! There's a lot happening at Art Party Unlimited so there was a ton to write and tell you.
